BEIJING, Oct. 31 -- Taiwan director Ang Lee's spy thriller "Lust, Caution", also this year's Golden Lion winner, is to premiere on the Chinese mainland tonight. After several times' put-off, the blockbuster will finally roll to mainland theaters midnight Wednesday. Director Ang Lee is expected to bring cast members Tang Wei and Lee-Hom Wang to Shanghai for the premiere, also the only promotion on the mainland. The mainland version of the film is 145 minutes long, with several minutes' plot involving sex being scissored. "Lust, Caution" is vying for this year's Golden Horse Film Awards, which will be announced on December 8 in Taiwan. The film is based on a short novel of the same name, written by famous Chinese woman author Eileen Chang (Zhang Ailing, 1921-1995).
